Meeting Minutes - 12 Sept 07

In attendance tonight: Amber, Caitlin, Jasmine, Karitas, Maria and McKiya

Old Business:

Troop Dues - $38, payable to Troop 401
Troop Calendar - not on the website yet
Bronze Award - Last chance to register for this year. I need to know ASAP - Sept 17th is the latest we can take registrations. I'm excited to announce Ms Bobbi, Ms Amanda & Ms Nancy are teaming up to mentor the girls.

New Business:

Tonight we started and completed Project Linus. Project Linus requires the girls to make a baby quilt. Quilts can be made of any type of fabric, including flannel, cotton, double knit, denim, fleece and even yarn. At the end of our meeting, quilts were presented to proud papa.. Kenny D'Amico and to big sister McKiya.

Also worked on was Yarn and Fabric Arts #2.

Nut Packets went home today. The girls would like to make fleece blankets with their proceeds from nut sales. Profit from each can of nuts is $1. Each girl needs to sell 10 cans of nuts to cover the cost of their blanket. Girls will get to work on these at our stay at Hamp Hut in October.

There are several dates to turn in your nut orders, Sept 22 - day of the field trip, Sept 28 from 3 pm to 5 pm or Sept 29 from 9 am to 11 am. Please call me with your choice @ 278-3522 or email me troop401@msn.com

After our trip to the Paint Mines on Sept 22, we'll take the girls shopping to a fabric store to pick out their fleece.
